How do I get the app?

Access to Trackd Out is currently available for free on the iOS App Store. Android and Desktop users can access Trackd Out online here via our website.

How much does Trackd Out Cost? What’s the service fee?

Trackd Out charges artists 7% on top of the studio's rate to book and schedule sessions. This cost in most cases is less than tax, and covers credit card processing fees and operational costs so we can continue to provide outstanding service to our clients.

Can I cancel a booking?

You may cancel a booking up until 24 hours before the session will begin. Cancel a booking in the app by going to Booking, select the correct booking, scroll down and click Cancellation Options, tap Cancel Booking. Bookings that have been approved but are still Pending Payments can be canceled up until the start of the booking. Both Artists and Studios may cancel bookings within the allowed time period mentioned above.

Is there a fee if I cancel?

There is currently no fee to cancel bookings. You may only cancel bookings 24 hours or more in advance, if the payment is still pending you may cancel the booking up until the start of the session.

Can I become an ambassador?

Feel free to contact us with your social media info and a brief bio, and if we like what we see, we will contact you as soon as possible.

What are the accepted payment methods on Trackd Out?

Paypal, Apple Pay, and Credit Card are the only accepted forms of payment.

Where can I use Trackd Out?

While you may use the app while traveling anywhere in the world, currently Trackd Out is focusing its efforts in the US. While the majority of studios are in California, Trackd Out is more than excited to welcome studios all over the world into our family. If you are currently in a country we don't yet support, reach out to us and tell us. We are working hard to add as many professional studios to Trackd Out as possible.

Studios

How are fees and rates setup?

You have the option to charge clients by the HOUR and by the DAY. You can set these rates in the My Studios section of the app. Trackd Out adds a service fee in addition to your normal rate and charges the artist at checkout. Your studio will display your normal rate in the app. If you do not have a daily rate, select a rate that is in line with what you would charge for a day.

How do I get my Studio Approved?

Studios are approved on a case by case basis. In order to be approved you must first verifying your account info. You can verify your account in the app by downloading the latest version of the app, going to the Account section, verifying your email, and uploading an ID. Once our Admins have verified your information, we will approve your studio.

How do I block out dates on my studio calendar?

You may block out dates by going to My Studios, and selecting the Studio you want to edit. Select either Edit Hours to edit business hours, or Edit Calendar and select the dates and times to block off specific dates and times.

Can I delete my studio?

You reserve the right to remove your studio for any reason from Trackd Out. If your studio is not able to be deleted, it means there are still sessions booked. To delete the studio you must cancel all bookings before deleting the studio itself.

How long do I have to accept to accept a booking?

Pending bookings have up until one hour before the booking start time to be approved. You have up until 24 hours before the session starts to cancel with no fee.

How do I get paid through the app?

Paypal verified account is required to request funds from the app. Funds are available for request once you have finished a booked session. Request the transfer amount from Payment Options in the Account section of the app. Requests may take up to 48 hours to process.

Is there a charge for requesting funds?

There are no fees to request your money. The full amount requested is sent through PayPal. However, PayPal processing fees may apply.

How do I get my studio on Trackd Out?

If you would like to see your studio on Trackd Out, register for an account and select "Studio Owner". Once you've signed up, you may add your studio by going to the "My Studios" section of the app or website and clicking on the + sign. Here you will add photos, fill out your studio info, and add business hours. Once you submit your studio, you must also verify your email and add a form of government identification in the "Account" section of the app/website. Every studio must go through our verification process in order to ensure we provide a professional and safe environment for everyone. You will be notified by email/mobile notification when your studio has been verified and is ready to book!

Can I register my home studio on Trackd Out?

While we discourage home studios, we are verifying all studios that can provide a professional and safe environment for the artists. If your studio is a home studio it must provide necessary amenities such as wheel chair accessibility, a private entrance, and private restrooms in order to be verified.

How do I get a hold of an studio after booking a session?

We don't hold your contact information hostage if you have a booked session. If you're a studio looking to get in touch with the artist with a booking, go to the Booking section of the app, click on the booking, and click the message or phone button for instant contact.

Artists

How do I get a refund?

To obtain a full refund, you must cancel the booking 24 hours prior to the booking start time. If you cancel a booking your refund will return back to the payment method you've selected. If your payment has already processed, it will take 48-72 hours to receive your refund. If your booking has not been accepted or your payment is still pending, your money will be refunded immediately.

Will the studio store my files for me?

In short, no. It isn’t the studio’s responsibility to store your music files. It is a good idea to bring an external hard drive.

Why do some studios require they approve my studio booking request?

While many studios do utilize the instant booking feature, it is ultimately up to the studio to decide how they would like to process bookings. If you require a last minute booking, try reaching out to the studio before booking by messaging the studio through the app. Alternatively, search our database of studios that provide instant booking.

How do I ensure the studio will provide the quality of sound I am looking for?

Trackd Out provides public reviews of studios and a studio rating system that allows artists to find and book studios they know can provide the sound they are looking for. If you are still unsure, try messaging the engineer privately and request samples of their work. Most engineers will be more than happy to show you the quality of work they can produce when given the chance. You may also check out the engineers on social media, by clicking on the social media links on their user profile.

Can I record my song at one studio and mix/master it at another?

Of course! We encourage you to spread your wings and touch the sky. While you may have to facilitate the physical transfer of tracked out files/stems from one engineer to another, there is nothing stopping you from using as many engineers as you need to produce your next hit.

How long does it take to produce a song in a music studio?

Trackd Out users spend, on average, four hours per session in studio. Many indicate they are able to record, mix, and master their song in this time; walking out of the studio with their next hit within the same day.

How do I get a hold of an artist/studio before booking on Trackd Out?

If you are an artist looking to reach out to a recording studio, you may message the engineer before booking a session by clicking the messaging button on their studio profile.

How do I get a hold of an studio after booking a session?
